Home Inspirations About Emma Donate

Before she had the chance to save the world, our sweet Emma Elizabeth Munson died tragically Sunday morning October 6, 2013 among her loving friends at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond Virginia. A first year Freshman Art Student, Emma was blossoming in her new surroundings and fell in love with Richmond, making a new circle of friends who will sorely miss her unique style and flair for life. Emma turned 19 years old on September 25th.

Emma has left a huge void in the hearts of her parents, Michael and Denise of McCandless and will help guide from above her adoring brother Alec Michael, sweet sissy Olivia Katherine and loving and gentle brother Noah Andrew. Emma’s grandparents, Chuck & Katherine Martier and Frances Munson, deeply hurt for our collective loss, as do her many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins – especially her dear California ‘sister’ Meredith Munson. Emma also has been separated from her boyfriend Griffin Caruso who loved her dearly.

Friends and Family will be received at Neely Funeral Home in Glenshaw on Sunday October 13th from 12-8pm in what we hope will be a true celebration of her beautiful life. A mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Sebastian’s Roman Catholic church on Monday October 14th at 10am.

Because Emma wanted to do so much with her life, in lieu of flowers her wish would be for donations to be made for the good of her “Mother Earth”. You can visit www.EmmaMunsonMemorial.com to read more about Emma’s passions and contribute to a fund that will help keep her memory alive. All net donations will be used to help others in this world in Emma’s memory.

Taken from us so quickly, Emma has left behind a legacy of love and creativity that should inspire us all. May God rest her soul.
